WoolsMGMT invites you to a special Arts Midwest event on Wednesday, September 4th from 8:00-10:00pm at the A-Mill Artist Lofts. Meet and connect with your fellow conference attendees along the banks of the beautiful Mississippi River and iconic Stone Arch Bridge for complimentary drinks, conversation, and performances by some of MN finest performers. Learn about unique residency and educational outreach opportunities with these artists, and how programs can be adapted to best serve audiences and communities.

Beverages curated by Croatian-born, Sarina Garibović, currently working as sommelier at the James Beard award-winning Restaurant Alma. She loves exploring wine through her Eastern European roots which often leads her down the road of biodynamic and low intervention wine. Her passion is democratizing wine through education. Sarina is a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Take an exclusive pre-show tour of iconic First Avenue! Join Bobby Maher, Principle at WoolsMGMT, for a complimentary pre-show tour of Minneapolis’ First Avenue Mainroom. Experience the venue made famous by Prince’s Purple Rain, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how First Avenue & the 7th St Entry began. First Avenue is one of the longest running independently owned and operated clubs in the United States, as well as one of the most celebrated. During your tour you can expect to step onto our world-renowned stage, check out the “set list wall” backstage, and maybe even hear a few ghost stories.

ARTIST SHOWCASE: CHAMPAGNE CONFETTI FEATURING ABY WOLF AT THE DAKOTA

WoolsMGMT and the Dakota Jazz Club invite you to a special Arts Midwest showcase event featuring a performance by Champagne Confetti at the Dakota Jazz Club in downtown Minneapolis on Friday, September 6. The event is free for Arts Midwest registrants with RSVP.

‘Supergroup’ isn’t a word to throw around lightly, but when your member list starts with Aby Wolf and Eric Mayson…well, the shoe fits. – Minnesota Public Radio, The Current, on Champagne Confetti.

Champagne Confetti is an 11-member chamber ensemble that blends pop & R&B with jazz & chamber music sensibilities and features some of the Twin Cities finest musicians led by vocalist and composer Aby Wolf. 

Aby frequently collaborates with artists across the genres of hip hop, R&B, electronic, rock, folk, jazz, and experimental music. She has worked and collaborated with a diverse range of artists from Dessa and Doomtree to The New Standards, Chastity Brown and JT Bates Grain Trio to the MN Orchestra, and released 4 stylistically diverse solo albums to critical acclaim. As a solo artist she has extensively toured throughout the US, as well as in the U.K, Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany and performs at some of the Twin Cities finest venues (Walker Art Center, Fitzgerald Theater, Orchestra Hall, First Ave). She was named “Best Female Vocalist” and “Artist of the Year” by City Pages.

Only one block from the Minneapolis Hilton and right on Minneapolis’ Nicollet Mall.

Additionally, she has served as Vocal Director for many productions, most recently, “Dessa with the Minnesota Orchestra." She has been awarded Artist Initiative, Arts Learning and Arts on Tour grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and she has been recognized for excellence by the American Composers Forum and received commissions from the Cedar Cultural Center as well as the Prairie Fire Lady Choir.
